Vintage Danish Deluxe 'Rifka' Armchair

Lovely Danish Deluxe armchair in solid teak.

A classic mid-century lounge chair by the well-regarded Melbourne maker Danish Deluxe, crafted in warm Australian teak. The sculptural timber frame features elegant curved arms with rounded ends, a gently contoured back, and solid tapered legs — all the hallmarks of quality Australian-made Scandinavian-inspired design from the period.

It is upholstered in a beautiful navy blue fabric with matching seat, back and arm cushions. The cushions sit on a supportive webbing base and present in good, usable condition with a comfortable, inviting feel.

Condition
Good vintage condition overall. The frame is solid and structurally sound with the expected light wear and patina consistent with age. The navy upholstery shows normal signs of use but remains intact and presentable. Priced as-is for a quick sale while we clear stock for our move — if it doesn’t sell it will be coming with us to the new location for a full restoration.

A handsome, comfortable piece of Australian mid-century design that will sit beautifully in a living room, reading corner or bedroom.
