This striking vintage mid-century ceramic table lamp (often called “Fat Lava” style) features a bold, organic form with a rich, textured glaze in fiery orange, deep brown, and black speckling. The dripping, volcanic lava-like effect is a classic hallmark of 1960s–1970s European (likely West German or similar) pottery lamps — perfect for adding warm, retro character to a mid-century modern interior, living room, bedroom, or den.

•  The ceramic base shows the expected crazing and authentic glaze variations from the firing process (including the signature lava drips and speckling). No major chips, cracks, or repairs visible on the body.

•  Some minor surface wear/scuffs on the base and neck consistent with age and use.

The orange fabric lampshade is original or period-appropriate, with typical light wear: minor discoloration, small marks, and fraying on the trim/edges (see close-ups). It still presents well when lit.

•  Electrics appear functional (tested with a bulb in photos); includes a standard bayonet or screw fitting (bulb not included).

•  Minor marks on the cardboard interior of the shade not visible from the outside or when the lamp is turned on.
