Toothill — a smaller, quality-focused manufacturer whose work was often retailed through the prestigious Heal’s of London — these chairs embody the best of Danish-inspired design adapted with distinctive British craftsmanship. The sculptural solid timber frame, beautifully shaped arms and clean tapered legs give the chair an elegant, almost floating presence that is both comfortable and architecturally pure.

Genuine Toothill armchairs are now genuinely hard to find, especially in pairs. Most examples that surface have been heavily modified or lack original integrity. Both chairs will be professionally re-covered in brand new Clay Fabric preserving the integrity of the original frames while giving them a fresh, contemporary finish. Frames in good solid vintage condition. Currently undergoing restoration. Upholstery is pre-restoration; both chairs will be professionally re-covered in brand new Clay coloured (Warwick) fabric. Ready for their next home once work is complete.
