These are a beautiful example of 1960s Australian craftsmanship from the respected Brisbane maker Don Rex, whose pieces drew strong inspiration from Danish modernism. With clean, sculptural lines and solid native hardwood frames in blackbean, they echo the timeless appeal of iconic contemporaries like Parker and Fler designs from the same era. The proportions are generous wider seats, supportive arms, and a balanced lower back profile that feels both sophisticated and inviting. Fully rebuilt with fresh upholstery, new foam, and a rejuvenated timber finish, they deliver the same enduring quality and presence as the best mid-century Australian furniture.

This is the First pair of this style we've had the pleasure of offering Don Rex pieces remain quite scarce on the market. While similar Parker designs command impressive prices, these originals stand out for their authentic vintage character, superior build, and rarity.
